We’re into day 3 of the Masters, with teams now playing their 2nd games. We have another 2 game slate, with lock at 3 pm EST. The games are:

Gen.G (61% implied win probability) vs Xset

Immortals (55%) vs Luminosity

The Teams

I’m going to list each player, their KDA, and then today I’m adding fantasy points in the form of [Kills per round, Deaths per round, Assists per round, Fantasy points per round]. Fantasy points per round will include bomb plants/defuses as well as kill bonuses. This should give a much clearer picture of who the best plays are than just KDA. Bomb planting in particular has a significant impact on FP/r for a lot of these players.

I’ll also list the agent(s) each member plays most often. Generally speaking, if you see someone plays Jett that usually means they are the OPer (sniper), although because the OP is $5.0k to buy while the rifles are only $2.9k, a lot of the time even the OPers end up playing quite a few rounds on rifles every game, many more than in CS:GO. Typically speaking, players who play duelists (Jett, Reyna, Phoenix, Raze, Yoru) are the players expected to be the top fraggers by their team.  I have switched how I’m getting my stats, so they’ll now only be for the past 60 days. A lot of these players have changed teams and roles fairly frequently, so showing only fairly recent stats makes more sense than showing long term stats in my opinion.

gMd – $8.9k – [.71, .67, .29, 1.28] – Omen

huynh – $9.9k – [.74, .66, .16, 1.23 ] – Jett, Sage

MkaeL – $10.9k – [.58, .62, .39, 1.40] – Sova, Skye

Shawn – $12.3k – [.93, .71, .27, 1.68] – Raze, Reyna, Phoenix, Sage

koosta – $9.2k – [.68, .68, .25, 1.17] – Cypher, Killjoy

gMd remains a bit underpriced relative to his teammates in this spot, as he’s 3rd on the team in fp/r yet last in pricing. Mkael has been the primary bomb planter here, and that plus his assists are how he averages so many fantasy points despite abysmal kills per round numbers. If he’s able to have a good fragging day he has big upside, as the assists and bomb plants will be there. Shawn is of course the star here, so any Gen.G stacks I make will have him as a part of them.

PureR – $10.7k – [.75, .73, .19, 1.26] – Jett

thwifo – $9.6k – [.65, .71, .29, 1.08] – Cypher, Breach

AYRIN – $9.0k – [.71, .74, .23, 1.01] – Raze, Killjoy, Sage

BcJ – $11.2k – [.80, .66, .36, 1.62] – Sova, Omen

Wedid – $9.7k – [.67, .73, .26, 1.16] – Omen, Viper

Xset are a bit of a fantasy wasteland outside of BcJ. BcJ leads them in nearly every category, including plant/defuse points. They’re fairly spread out on their planting/defusing points as a whole though, they don’t have a dedicated bomb planter. If I decide to stack Xset, Wedid and PureR are my targets of choice to pair with BcJ.

jcStani – $9.8k – [.71, .74, .27, 1.43] – Omen, Sage

Genghsta – $9.5k – [.70, .61, .35, 1.49] – Sova

ShoT UP – $12.0k – [.91, .71, .29, 1.75] – Breach, Reyna, Raze, Killjoy

NaturE – $10.1k – [.65, .65, .22, 1.26] – Killjoy, Cypher, Viper

Kehmicals – $11.5k – [.79, .70, .21, 1.33] – Jett, Raze

Immortals pricing remains out of whack, as Genghsta and jcStani are the 2nd and 3rd best fp/r producers, yet they are 5th and 4th in price. They did come up a bit from Friday, but they are still too cheap. It is worth noting that on Friday, it was Nature and Genghsta leading the team in plants, which has previously been how jcStani got a ton of his fantasy points. Immortals had 2 weeks off to make changes, so I’m lead to believe this is intentional and will continue, as the Sova and Killyjoy ults are usually much more useful that Omen’s. That pushes Genghsta clearly ahead of jcStani for me, and adds a bit of appeal to Nature too. Of course, ShoT UP is my first target here, he’ll be a staple if I play Immortals.

Luminosity Gaming

aproto – $8.9k – [.78, .72, .21, 1.29] – Cypher, Killjoy, Raze

stellar – $11.8k – [.66, .66, .30, 1.45] – Sage, Phoenix, Omen

thief – $9.9k – [.79, .77, .22, 1.35] –  Reyna, Raze, Phoenix

moose – $9.2k – [.68, .64, .31, 1.36] – Sova, Raze

YaBoiDre – $10.6k – [.81, .74, .22, 1.34] – Omen, Raze

Luminosity remain frustratingly balanced. The gap from their bottom fragger to their top fragger is .16 fp/r, 2nd lowest on the slate is a .49 fp/r gap. Stellar is the safest bet here, as his bomb plants keep him steady even if he doesn’t have a great fragging day. Moose’s assists and being the secondary bomb planter also helps him be a fairly reliable option. thief, YaBoiDre, and aproto are all much more tied to their fragging performance, as none of them average over .1 fp/r from bomb plants/defuses. It’s basically a toss up between those 3, and any of them can be the right play on any given day. Stellar and moose are my top targets for that reason, and then it’ll likely come down to salary for who I play if I 3 stack them (or I’ll just use the team spot).

Strategy/Top Plays

After taking 2 disastrously wrong stands on Friday, hopefully the stands I take Saturday will work out better.

Xset are such a strange team. Most of the time, they look like they don’t belong in the server with these top teams, but then they’ll randomly 2-0 LG in dominant fashion like they did a couple weeks ago. I’m banking on them being the team that doesn’t look like they belong, so my first is Gen.G over Xset.

My second stand is that LG/Immortals is going to go 3 maps. The last two times these teams played they’ve had competitive, 3 map series, and I’m expecting more of the same here. That means that I expect a lot of fantasy points from this game. I’ll like have 4 players from it in my main lineup, and will do a full 5 man gamestack as 1 of my $4.44 entries.

My favorite plays on the day are gMd, Genghsta, and moose for salary relief. I’ll jam as many high priced studs as I can around them in my lineups.

That’s it for me, good luck on Saturday!
